No, taking notes is good! I do that too, when I can squeeze a thought in there. I think it's helpful to read things you disagree with, just to see what other people are saying and consider why you disagree, but boy it can test your patience sometimes...>.<

I only recently got a library card (like 2 years ago?) after not having had one since I was a little kid, and it's been sooo nice. I feel like I can take more chances on books yk since if I don't like it, I'm not out any money over it.
