Abide, Abound by Elleth - Beautiful fic which addresses Tauriel’s struggle to process her grief after the Battle of the Five Armies. The author unfolds her connection to Arwen quickly yet naturally, and there’s some really delicious scene descriptions here!

Or Would They Go on Aching Still by Farasha - This fic does an excellent job balancing joy and grief, which feels very in keeping with Tolkien’s themes. There’s a lot of focus here on Arwen’s feelings about being one of the last Elves in Middle-earth and about the mortality of her family--and how Tauriel comforts her through that.

Of All the Stars, the Fairest by whatiwouldnotgive - Heather recommended this to me and it was so worth it! This is such a sweet, lovely unfurling of Eowyn and Arwen’s feelings with a great climactic sex scene ;D The author does that thing I love where a deep friendship gives way to romance and they do it well!

Orlaya by yeaka - Just a cute, sweet moment between two Elves in love <3 (Arwen and Tauriel)

Our Shared Monsters by @theworldisquietheretooquiet - My fucking heart. This fic so drives home the trauma that haunts the line of Thingol and how fortunate Elrond’s children are to have been spared it. Ow.

Strength Like a Tower by potatoesanddreams - This fandom has me teary over architecture. OW. Finrod converses with Tol Sirion during his captivity. This honestly makes so much sense with how attached Elves become to their surroundings and the characterization of Finrod here is just perfect.

Flammifer by @sallysavestheday - Such a lovely depiction of Earendil and Elwing’s relationship, and of Earendil’s struggles in the early days of his captaining Vingilot through the stars.

Sacred the Sweetness by Elleth - Ever wondered about Arwen and Aragorn’s mom falling in love? Wonder no more. Another fic which balances joy and grief well.

All My Shadows Fade by amyfortuna - A female friend of Arwen’s (OC) mourns her impending marriage to Aragorn. So, so bittersweet with tenderness and unrequited love. Short, but powerful!

That Time Elanor Gardner Had a Crush on her Employer by orphan_account - Cutesy Arwen/Elanor fluff and smut.

Torn in Two by Alantie - Ahhh so sweet Celebrian meets Finrod for the first time in Aman and recognizes him from her mother’s memories. I love this TT_TT
